I've read that octopi might just as intelligent as chimps. They use tools and can do things like open screwtop jars to get at what's inside. I wish somebody could teach them a form of sign language so we could figure out what they're thinking.

LOL. I loved Colbert on how boring soccer was last week. Now that the US tied I wonder if he changed his tune. (I always watch those shows a day late.)

I was a big Tampa Bay Rowdies fan back in the day, but I really do find soccer incredibly dull these days. Yeah, they are cute guys, but you can't really see them that well while they run around and run around and run around. Maybe it's just soccer on TV I find dull? Live, the games are fun. Maybe my brain is just too conditioned for all the stops and starts and wondering-what-strategy-they'll-choose in football and baseball (and frankly I zone out on those too, unless it's the Gators in a tight game). Maybe it's like the TNG leisureliness factor jT is discussing on the other thread.

Googling away in an attempt to figure out which instructor quit at my college (since they just asked me to take her classes), I came across this very funny, very short YouTube embedded on her blog:
