...doing?

Icing my leg, which I banged up so badly at the gym it looks like a shiner, or, rather, would if it was a black eye. And watching the next disc of VOY, which arrived via Netflix today. It's only the second disc without Kes, but already my enjoyment level has gone up substancially.

:guffaw:

This your first viewing? I've recently begun my first viewing of DS9, myself. Almost finished with the first season and so far only two episodes were worth watching. :raspberry:

I do not get the hoopla over DS9. Some of it gets so much more depressing than all the other Treks. And I for the life of me still can't figure out about Sisko.

I didn't hate Kes. I thought she was boring, but I didn't hate her. I did have some issues when 7 of 9 appeared but mainly because it was so obvious she was the Sex goddess, and she took over a lot of the show at the expense of other characters. I was 13 and I liked Janeway and B'Elanna better. But when I grew up, I saw her virtues so the only thing that drove me out of my mind was the "romance" with a certain "angry warrior."

The first time I've seen all of them in a row. I was in Okinawa when the show was in syndication, so only ever saw bits of the first few seasons. Most of post-season 3 is new to me. Though, as I've pointed out, the ones I do remember I only remember because they scarred 8-10yr old me for some reason. I've seen most the later season DS9's and am trying to rewatch them, but, between everything else, it's slow progress, so I'm towards the end of season 1 myself. I love it for its more distopian vision of the future, which I find more realistic, and because it's more arc-centered than the other series.

Now, as to what I'm doing now... well, I went to a concert in a town 5hrs away on wends night - which was amazing, by the way - but, because my brother had school the next day, we had to leave at 3am to get him to school by 8. And by "we" I mean I had to drive and he got to sleep. But oh well. I ended up sleeping most the day yesterday...

...which as obviously messed me up, because, not only did I go grocery shopping after the gym, but I came home, through together dinner while sweeping/mopping/vacuuming the main floor of the house and listening to the ST:IX novelization some more, cleaned the bathrooms, and synced/backed up my and my brother's iTunes. And I'm tired now... though, amazingly, less tired than I was the morning. Go figure.

Hmm. I finally got my first paycheck of the semester. And I did say I needed a wife.

You know, this could be the beginning of the plot of an interesting story. However, in fiction you'd probably end up being some horrible scary sociopath (or I would).

I've told my husband I wouldn't necessarily be against polygamy if the other wife was a neat freak. Would make my life so much easier. I'm too right-brained and scrambled and barely keep our house from becoming a contestant on one of those clean your house shows. :p

But then again... :doubt:

I'm a neat freak, I love housework, I just usually have no strength to do it. And this week my CP has decided to make me its you-know-what :bitch: ! Having a wife would be good for me, but that said... I do not share! I swear I am the posessive type. Not in a psycho way of course but hey a commitment is a commitment.

hahaha. My sister would be on Hoarders or something like if my mom and I didn't randomly invade her place and clean. Which probably says more about me than my sister.... Oh well.

I'm not a clutter person (being a military wife kinda cures anyone of that!). It's the mopping, wiping, srubbing, dusting, vacuuming that gets to me. Seems like I get the house clean just in time to clean it again. *sigh*

And the laundry that seems to have a life on this own. You take all the clothes out of the laundry bin, you wash, you dry, you place the clothes in the closet and then the laundry bin is full again. In one day.

There is only one chore I truly loath, dishes! I hate doing dishes. It's a pain, and because I live alone it takes forever to fill the dishwasher.

I'm not a clutter person either, it makes me extremely nervous. I literally have panic attacks. I can't even go into my grammy's apartment she has stuff from the floors to the ceilings.
