On the otehr hand, I'd say this officially means that next year will be a banner year for you. Go buy a lottery ticket on New Year's Day or something.

I already postponed the start of my PPL-A education I'm not supersticious (or however that is spelt) but having such a crap year, I'd probably drop out of the dang sky for no reason, so I postponed it to next year. Having to have the titanium plate, that they nailed to my broken ribs in July, removed next week by way of surgery may have to do with it as well

I think your doctors might agree that postponing until after surgery and your previous injuries heal is a prudent idea. Here's to hoping that New Years day truly represents the beginning of a better year. Mine hasn't been so much about the physical as the emotional/mental side of life but it hasn't been the best six months or so for me either and like you I'm looking forward to getting past the holidays feeling better and stronger, and having learned something.

Another surgury? Sounds positively awful. Though it does give me some satisfaction to remember that other people have been having worse days than I have. So thanks. And hopefully you won't end up in the hospital again this year after the surgury is over.

It's minimally invasive. They nailed a titanium plate to my ribs in July, since the fracture was splintered and badly healing. Now they's gonna remove it on Oct. 18th and on Oct. 20th I'll be back to work (hopefully).

Bad year is an understatement. It's been - to use Queen Lizzie's words - an annus horribilis. But it'll be better. Can't go any worse than that. Thanks for the well wishes, it's meaning a lot

I am working on my second and third chapter of World of Ice (a complete rewrite) and also being distracted by another story.

The last two times that I wrote a story, my beta commented a couple of times that things were "redudant".
Yesterday I was written and rewritten, when this little voice pops into my head saying "'redudant". So in the process of learning sometimes less in more I deleted a couple of sentences and the story was better for it. It was kind of funny how you learn everytime you write.

My status is mostly hiatus. Current job sucks (although that's changing very soon), and I'm going to be attempting a non-Trek, non-sci fi story for Nanowrimo this year. Planning on updating DivPath soon though...

Well, just got back from our "family weekend" (which was fun, excepting the parts in the car, which were family-related!angst of the worst sort, mostly involving my mother being angry at my brother for his anger issues, not having finished his college apps yet, and similiar, and my brother being angry for various, related issues, while I sprawled in the backseat trying to ignore them both), and, though I was computer-less, it did give me ample time to plot out some story points. and discover that, no matter how you sit/sprawl in the backseat, a mid-sized sedan's backseat was not made with twenty-two-year-old's on five hour roadtrips in mind.
