Cool! I was a high school soccer ref (before my job brought me to Afghanistan) and I've done soccer games on that very field.
Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

There's a lot of rubbish on youtube, but quite often following links from this thread I find myself clicking on links to other interesting videos too. This time was no exception - just one click away from Distracted's great video was this one:

Watch a dizzying video of the Discovery's launch from the perspective of its rockets

This is wicked cool! 8) Especially when you see the shuttle and external tank flying away as the SRB separates.

That link doesn't take me to a video of the shuttle. :(

But it does take me to a page with this on it. :D

Odd, the YouTube vid is embedded at the top. Maybe your flash or whatever isn't working... :?

Anyway, here's the direct YouTube link

That's the sort of video that clichés like 'OMFG' were made for. Absolutely awesome!

I was straining to see the orbiter heading off into the distance after separation, but I couldn't make it out. To be fair, the camera was looking a bit second hand by that point.

Trailer to Ergo Proxy. Which is awesome and all, but a tad deceptive. Vincent Law is the actual protagonist, and rather than being action oriented it is a bit more psychological and philosophical in nature, but there are also definitely shadows of Blade Runner in it.

Trailer for Last Exile, yet another awesome series. Somewhat steampunk, actually.
