On the Science Chanel there is a series titled SciFi/Science. The narrator is a serious Scientist with a PHD in Physics. He is also an avid fan of Star Trek.
In the programs he tries to build thngs from Startrek. Holodeck, Transporter, Warp Drive, etc. Along the way he introduces some very hard and interesting cuttin gedge science. Amazing things hat are being developed right now. Really interestig program.
I like the guy (whose name, of course, I cannot remember) He is funny, intelligent, and has an air about him. I like thim better than I ever liked Carl Sagan. With Sagan I always feltt I was being talkded down to, lectured. Not with this guy.
Anyway, if you happen to see it coming up watch a few episodes.

Yup, that is him. I like him a lot.
Anyway, a great deal of new and interestng things being developed. Kaku takes us to different labs where people are developing things that seem from SciFi but are real in our world.
