Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

This was so inspiring I had to share. It made me think of my mom and how everyone told her that she should have never kept me. And I am so glad she did. Warning: The little one doesn't have eyes, some people might find the images disturbing.

Kotik, Weebie, have two spare bedrooms available in the fall.

Becks is the first German Beer I ever had in Germany. (landed y boat in Bremerhaven, took train to Bremen where I overnighted. Naturally becks was every where.)

PIlsner Urquell is great.

So some suds to drink for you guys. Me, milk. Age you know.

I have a very large Pewter tankard. Unfortunately, Pewter is a tad dangerous since it is made of Lead, Tin and antimony. This one has a lot of Tin in it and not much lead. One can tell because it is so bright. Real pewter is dull color because of so much lead in it. Do have some beer glasses that I stole from stubchen while in Germany.

When I saw the picture of the baby with his eyes, I was really shocked. Besides the eyes, what struck me was the huge smile on the baby's face and the pure joy in life that often is seen with baby. Mother was great (she teared up when she tells about finding out his eyes). So when the mother showed the baby shortly afterwards on the video, the eyes were less a shock to me. Gripping story.

Well that's why I put the warning in there. I didn't want people to be startled and start yelling at me. I just thought it was something inspiring. Aside from his blindness that little boy is healthy now, and apparently happy. It just goes to show that while we're all entitled to our opinions and convictions humanity needs more compassion!

And now for something completely different!

Warpgirl, some decades ago there was a thalimide scare. Fortunately for the U.s. the head of FDA would not approve of it to be used in the U.s.

Howver, it was widely used in Europe. Mostly in sleeping pills that pregnant women took.

There were many birth of children with no arms, legs, eyes,or other things. Some were born without any limbs.

Once the thalimide was identified as the cause it was pulled off the market but the damage was done. Thousands of babies were born crippled by thalimide in one way or another. they grew up, those that lived, and now are probably Grandparents.

There were some born withou teyes. Just skin covering the area where the eyes should have been.

One, whose arms and legs are stunted is a great interpreter of Schubert lieder. Beutiful Bass voice.

Well this little one was born in the States I believe. Anyhow, I just thought it was something positive in a sea of bad news.

Well, I will be in Arizona week after next, but I'm heading to Sedona which seems to be in the opposite direction from you, SB. Going to catch up with some old friends so it should be a great trip!
