Star Trek: Foundations

Postby CX » Mon Jan 08, 2007 2:00 am

It's only 12 days to launch day, and I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm getting pretty excited. Smile

Here's a couple things to tide you over in the meantime. A teaser poster and a sig image made by the one and only chrisis1033.

If you don't know what Foundations is about, essentially it's a reboot of ENT. Many of the characters have the same names, and even share a lot of the same personality traits as their ENT counterparts, but there're also some differences. Basically FND is all about doing it right from the start.

For a less awkward, more detailed explanation is here

And I'm eager to see how people respond to my first foray into script format since I wrote the first two episodes out of the gate. Hard to follow up on the mini-series, but I'd like to think I managed...

Tambourin!! Happy Jump Happy Jump Reason #184 why I just Love Eyes that man. He's clearly pretty good, too, then. Out of curiosity, is Trip's playing based on any particular performer(s) or recording(s)? (I have my beloved old Cho-Liang Lin CD on as I write this.) What else has he played for T'Pol?? I can't help wondering how she would react to something like the Sibelius.....

Nitpicking: There is no "e" in "Fritz" Razz

I had This One in mind when I wrote it.

Dunno why I put an "E" on Fritz's name.

I'll have to keep Sibelius in mind for the future ...

Well, I've not read Foundations yet. I'd like to, but time is short, and issues aren't. Sigh. But I'm going to be bold enough to point out a small little nitpick anyway:
Set in approximately the same time period, starting in 2151, Foundations explores humanities first steps into deep space.
'Humanities' is plural. For the possessive, it should be 'humanity's.'

The one in my sig is the last one released. I don't know when I'll be able to finish the rest of the season, particuliarly as most of my staff appears to have lost interest.

You know, i do not really like the format of screen play stories, but i just started to read the last one of Foundations and liked it very much. Nice subtle tnt and i just good see the scene s played out before my eyes. So just to say, my compliments for the writers. :D
