Did you by any chance get a taste of "bird soup"? That stuff knocks out an Elephant :deadhorse:

I've never heard the term "bird soup". What does it mean?

It's what the finnish call a "specialty drink". Strong Licorice is punched into a bottle, which is then filled up by high-voltage Vodka - Somogon, mate-killer or straw rum for instance. Then the concoction is put in the dish washer to heat it up and help to solubilize the licorice. Then you let it cool down, pour the whole thing into a pot, heat it and serve it hot. Stuff's pitch balck and one pint will almost knock you out

Are you sure that stuff wasn't outlawed by the Geneva Convention????

On my own homemade booze front...

It time to carefully concoct some blueberry cordial. You know toss blueberries, some sugar and a bottle of Vodka in a larger bottle, seal it tight and let the aging begin. After a week, use a specialized tool, aka a potato masher, to squish the blueberries and let it age for a month or so. Finally strain the mix and remove the debris. Return to aging mode. Sample, carefully, once a week until, well, ya know its right. Then find some friends and enjoy or distribute at Xmas to semi-intoxicated family members after taking their car keys. Oh and keep it in the fridge after the first month. Use only glass bottles. Some settling of contents may occur. Pregnant women or women trying to get pregnant should avoid. Men trying to get women pregnant can have as much as they want....
RIP Tom, I will miss you, as will many others

Sounds like a modestly modified version of Quill's "Gateway". Thank god it never happened. I've really had it with Shatner. That bloke's just so bloody annoying.

No bird soup. That thing sounds really nasty. Wonder what kind of hangover it creates.

So that's like the Finnish version of Jagermeister? Man, I could never understand why that stuff caught on (actually, yes, I did - massive amounts of marketing).

Jaegermeister is a very good drink but Jaegermeister with whiskey(they had this coctail called Motorhead) now that needs beer to go down.

If Shatner pitched the idea it was probably designed to make Kirk look obnoxiously super-awesome next to Archer.

Meanwhile, I just have to say that I think the monkey on the right would make a spectacular alien of the week...

You know, I just had a couple weeks of political debates on national television and all political talks everywhere (September 12th was election day down here: 20 parties to choose from! Every vote counts! Coalitions to be formed! Hooray for democracy!), so I interrupted your "monkey on the right" somewhat differently....

Not quite, Bird Soup is nasty, but not as nasty as Jägermeister.
SPOILER!!!:
I drank Jägermeister twice in my life and both times I vomited explosively, immediately. I may be allergic to something in it (maybe hydrargyrum or arsenic), but I think Jägermeister just qualifies as chemical warfare. :crazed:

Anyone know what happened to Weebie? He seems to be among the missing. Hasn't posted in sometime anywhere.

Perhaps he has found the best fishing spot in the nation.
