Yes. I sound depressed. Another youth delivered to the slaughter. I've seen too many of them die. Still can see ourselves shooting into a Somalian machine gun nest to protect an american patrol. Two hours later we learned that we killed five 14 year old kid soldiers. :(

Thank you for the support, Transwarp. I will bet your daughter and Dylan have a lot in common.

Kotik I can see that you are hurting and I am sorry for my part in it. What happened to you was horrible and will be a huge bad memory for the rest of your life, I suspect. I too have aired a great hurt here, before, about my cousin's son's suicide and probably upset people with my deep feelings about it. So I want to just say it was okay with me that you told me how you feel. I will not forget it. I hope it helped you to express it in this thread, so that in some little way, letting it out has helped a bit in your healing from such a deeply emotional experience.

No doubt about that.
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled silliness:

I thought Bill S. was funny last night. Also thought Seth was good too. First I ever watched him. Found it hilarious that the critics pilloried him for pushing the lines of decorum, please....

He is also a big Star Trek fan, big fan. He was crucified in the blogs. He talks of a relaunch. I say do it, and read some fanfic for stories and oh by the way the LERTEIRAN (sp) CHRONICLES would be a great place to start....

Hey Dis,

Check out this link

I thought all of the govt idiots were up here in Michigan. It appears so of them have escaped and moved south. Note: I am not a real venison fan, unless you promise me backstraps grilled with onions. Then I am coming with a plate!

Give a human being power and it will eventually be abused.

I wonder if that truism applies even more universally? As in: Give a sentient being power and it will eventually be abused.
Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

I could just cry over the waste. It's disrespectful of the generous hunters, who certainly eat the meat that they harvest. Why would the government assume that the hunters would treat the donated meat any differently than the meat they serve to their own families? It's also disrespectful to the animals. Harvesting is a necessity brought about by limited habitat. Animals breed, and if you don't cull their numbers they will eat all of the available food in a given area and then starve. But killing them just to throw them away... That's just wrong on so many levels.
