Personally I prefer to change together with things' change, even because it's inevitable. But maybe the reason is that I tend to be a little pagan, and I love Halloween,

JT, you look awesome. :D
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

Indeed! Doesn't mean I have to change with them though... :vulcan:

The costumes and pumpkins are great!

Unfortunately I didn't get much into the Halloween spirit this year. I mostly just watched Nosferatu while caring for my very sick kitty. :(

And I love Bether's daughter's picture!!!

Aureilia went with me and also her 15 year old aunt and her 15 year old friend.

The 15 year olds were totally riding on Aureilia's cuteness-coattails to get in one last trick or treat. One guy laughed as he filled their buckets and said, "What are you guys? 27?"

I'll post a short YouTube in a few minutes.

You guys do anything in MO, Elessar?

Uhh, I had to work at Applebees, but I went out to a party at my buddy's after that. He was expecting like 60 people so he had a ton of food and alcohol but more like 10 showed up over the whole night, so I dropped by and, his brother and his buddy were in from Afghanistan, so we shot the shit for awhile and I stayed till about 5 am. Pretty good time, if rather mellow.

Hey, the machine said I timed out while I was writing a comment here. What's up with that?

Anyway, I guess now I should put up a photo of myself at a costume party on Friday evening dressed as a 1960's hippie. Revisiting my misspent youth, I guess. Heather (my daughter) had a K Mart sparkly witch costume, but I didn't want to do that because I thought it rather redundant, LOL, kinda like us dressing up as Indians. We don't wear our pow wow outfits as costumes. The workshop I gave on Saturday moring on 18th century Scottish folk customs documented in Robert Burns' 1785 poem "Halloween" went so well they asked me to repeat it Saturday afternoon. The Samhain ritual Saturday night was very meaningful and the workshop on Sunday that Heather and I attended, was extremely interesting. It compared Native American nature spirituality with European nature spirituality. The weekend was great except it was a bit on the cold side - 31 degrees at night. That's December weather! I felt sorry for those who were camping out in tents. Heather and I went motel camping.

Here's a short montage of Hallowe'en clips from the 31st. Aureilia ringing bells, and the much-older aunties trying to get in one last trick-or-treat. They're 15.

Wow! to all of that. Redundant, lol . . . Yes, I thought of you and did feel a little guilty dressing up as a stereotypical witch as portrayed by the media, but . . . what the hey . . . I'll atone for it later.

Oh! Two of my sons (the two at Temple University, but not the twins) BOTH dressed as Michael Jackson: the younger, P., as the younger Michael Jackson and the older, J., as the older Michael Jackson. Reportedly the older one, J., only needed a wig to look exactly like Michael Jackson post-Thriller. Which is funny, because I've always told him that and he never seemed to mind. I guess he really doesn't mind, lol . . .

No need to atone for dressing as a stereotype witch, JT! Lots of people do just that at Circle Sanctuary, including my daughter. We found a witches hat at K Mart which when you pressed a button on it, jumped around and played the tune "the wicked witch is dead" from The Wizard of Oz. We practically died laughing right there in the store and bought the hat. Everyone at Circle just laughed and laughed and kept pressing the button.

Oh, I was supposed to put up photos. I will get to it soon. Promise.

A witch's costume is warmer than skyclad at least. Make sure you put a disclaimer on those photos.

LOL, I'm not into skyclad, especially in this weather...brrrr. Here is the photo I promised. My daughter on the left, me in the middle, another friend (also named Linda) on the right. My daughter and the other Linda found these long eyelashes you have to glue on. They are hilarious.
