But, I decided to buy a $14 pyrex ice tea pitcher with a built in place for the ice at kitchen kapers, some local honey, tea bags - and boom. I don't need to buy that ice tea any more. First batch worked fine, and isn't as sweet as the kind from the grocery store, which is good.
I think that might knock $10 off my weekly grocery bill.
Tea is wonderful, but if I drink too much regular tea I can't sleep. I prefer South African Rooibos. It's caffeine free and has a wonderful rich flavor with honey or turbinado sugar. I usually drink it hot, but it tastes good cold, too. I couldn't find it at the supermarket but I just ordered another box of 80 teabags from a South African grocery importer through Amazon. The box cost 7 bucks, which is more expensive than regular tea bags but a lot cheaper than bottled tea. And I can sleep.
